Wilfred Goris (1943) is a partner at Loyens and a member of the Antwerp bar. He joined Loyens in 2001 (Antwerp office). Wilfred heads the banking and finance and real estate practice groups at the firm. After studying at the Catholic University of Louvain (1966) he obtained a degree in Economic Law at the University of Brussels (1971) and completed his studies at the University of Chicago Law School (Master of Comparative Law, 1973). Wilfred is also a member of the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and is a principal lecturer at the University of Antwerp.

Anja Fenge

Anja Fenge is a member of the real estate practice group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Based in the Berlin office she focuses on commercial real estate transactions as well as project development and property financing.

Anja's recent work has involved advising domestic and international investors, in particular Anglo-American investment funds, on the aqcuisition of large scale portfolios of commercial and residential property, including outsourcing projects based on sale-and-lease-back structures. She has acted for real estate developers and other corporations on building projects, such as the construction and enlargment of trade fair premises in Berlin and Leipzig and the development of a cultural theatre centre near Frankfurt, including the purchase and sale of real estate, its development, the financing of the project and the instruction of construction and engineering contractors.

Anja received her legal education in Bielefeld, Geneva and Cologne and studied French in Clermont-Ferrand, France. She holds a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Cologne. She worked as a research assistant at the Institute of International and Foreign Private Law of the University of Cologne. In 1995 she received an LLM from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland before she qualified as lawyer in 1997. Anja speaks German, English and French.

Timothy Trinka is senior foreign lawyer at Bae, Kim & Lee in Seoul. Mr Trinka has worked as a foreign lawyer in Seoul for 12 of the last 15 years. Leonard A Zax is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Latham & Watkins, where he heads the real estate group. He represents REITs, private equity funds, lenders, developers, corporations and investment banks in real estate finance and development transactions throughout the US.

Mr Zax has served as chairman of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Commercial and Retail Development Council. He has also served as a Trustee of the National Building Museum and co-chair of the Washington, DC Mayor's Commission on Downtown Housing. In addition, he has been a member of the Fannie Mae National Advisory Committee and served as chairman of the American Bar Association Committee on Housing and Urban Development Law.

Nestor M. Davidson is a senior associate in the Washington, DC office's Finance and Real Estate Department. Before joining Latham & Watkins, Mr Davidson served as special counsel to the secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1999 to 2001.

Mr Davidson has extensive experience in the development and finance of affordable multifamily housing, the syndication of low-income housing tax credits, and the emerging New Markets Tax Credit program. Mr Davidson's practice also focuses on complex market-rate commercial real estate matters, including mixed-use development, acquisitions and leasing.

Mr Davidson is admitted to practise in the District of Columbia and the State of New York. Mr Davidson graduated from Harvard College and Columbia Law School.
