City of London workers appear confident if cautious
following the UK election result that has returned the
Conservative Party to power. The party ran its campaign with a
commitment to take the UK out of the European Union, following
two delays to the original exit date of March 29 2019.
With Boris Johnson now confirmed to continue as British
Prime Minister, the likelihood is that the UK will be departing
the trading bloc in the coming weeks.
"With this result there is good, yet there is also reason to
be cautious," said Miguel Ramos Fuentenebro, partner at asset
management firm, Fair Oaks Capital. "The positive thing is that
there is a mandate for stable government. The pound reaction
