Mexico’s energy sectors will have to remove these - but when?


Three things are clear about the proposed opening of Mexico's energy sector to private investment. It is inevitable. It will be painful. And it is a long way off.

Since UK and US oil companies were expropriated in the 1930s, Mexico's has been a state-run energy sector, largely under the control of Pemex.
