The infancy of China's anti-monopoly regime only becomes apparent when compared to antitrust frameworks in other countries. "The European Commission has been regulating competition for 30 to 40 years – some would say even longer – and the US has been doing it for at least 80 to 90 years," said Schoneveld. "China's anti-monopoly law is now four years old."
