Greece, Korea ban short selling

Greece and South Korea have announced a temporary ban on short selling of stocks in an attempt to boost their struggling stock markets.

Greece’s Capital Markets Commission on Tuesday announced a ban on short selling from August 9 until October 7 for all shares listed on the Athens exchange on regulated markets, multilateral trading facilities and over-the-counter (OTC) venues.
