Austrian firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz has merged with finance boutique Dallmann & Juranek. The two firms will combine under the CMS banner, and will have 120 lawyers across nine countries. The move comes after Reich-Rohrwig launched offices in Slovenia and Serbia earlier this year.

Norton Rose's Dubai office has hired corporate partner Andrew Abernethy from New Zealand firm Bell Gully. Abernethy, who has previously spent six years with Shearman & Sterling in New York, joined the firm on June 2. The hire is the latest in Norton Rose's efforts to shore up its Dubai practice after last year's departure of John Inglis, Nadim Khan and Zubair Mir.

South African firm Cliffe Dekker has announced it will merge with Hofmeyr Herbstein & Gihwala in September. The new firm, which has yet to be named, will comprise 127 directors...
