Uche is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the Managing Partner of Alliance Law Firm. He heads the firm’s transaction, commercial and dispute resolution practice. He is ranked as a top and leading lawyer in Chambers 500 and International Financial Law Ranking (IFLR) and has received a number of local and international awards. He is a notable contributor to the IMF/World Bank “Doing Business Guide” publications and the author of “Class Actions in Nigeria” – a pioneer book on the subject in Nigeria. 

Recent transactional highlights
  • Advised Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc (“Seplat”) on its over US$500 million global IPO and dual listing of its shares on the Lagos and London Stock Exchanges.
  • Advised Neconde Energy Limited (“Neconde”) in connection with a USD $470 and upsized to US$720 million secured reserve-based lending from a syndicate of foreign and local banks.
  • Advised Neconde on a USD $640 Million Corporate loan transaction
  • Advised a Fund Manager on its N500M Money Market Fund.
  • Advised on a N30, 000,000,000 Transcorp Hotel Plc fixed rate bond issue series.
  • Advised Nigerian Mortgage Refinancing Company on its N28Billion private placement
  • Advised Neconde Energy Limited on the restructuring of a $640 million corporate loan which involves replacing one of the Banks with an oil trader in the syndication.
  • Appointed receiver/manager for the purposes of recovering the debts and restructuring the debtors' businesses to meet creditors secured interest of over US$750 Million.
