Rodrigo is a partner at Consortium Legal – Nicaragua. With 26 years of professional practice, he has extensive experience in foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, banking and securities, advising relevant international and local transactions that generate significant impacts in the region. He provides ongoing advice to financial institutions on the execution of secured and unsecured lines of credit, subordinated agreements, regulatory matters, among other financial matters.
He has participated in syndicated loans of more than US$200 million, including the constitution of local guarantees. He has also advised on the transfer of equity holdings in financial institutions to new investors. He has led legal teams responsible for conducting due diligence processes for the acquisition of companies from various industries, such as the financial, commercial, and telecommunications sectors, among others.
- Advised creditors in an increase of a revolving line of credit for 100 million dollars.
- Advised on the increase of the credit line granted by an international bank in favor of a regional company for US$120 million.
- Financing of the acquisition by an investment fund of free zone companies for US$90 million.
- Legal advice to an international bank as Administrative Agent and Principal Arranger of credit facilities for a local bank for US$100 Million.al laws, including the issuance of a legal opinion under local laws. We provided comments to the Offering Memorandum, Purchase Agreement, Indenture, Supplements, and ancillary documents.
