Pilar Castillo joined the firm in 2010 and became a partner in 2017. Ms. Pilar Castillo has a broad range of experience representing corporate clients in complex local and cross-border finance transactions. She frequently teams up with lawyers in other practice areas providing an IBT lawyer’s perspective on M&A transactions, commodity finance and secured transactions located in Panamanian free zones.
As an active member of ARIFA’s aviation legal team, Ms. Pilar Castillo represents leasing companies and investors in the most complex transactions, as COPA, the Panamanian airline, expands its fleet of international transport based in Tocumen International Airport.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Castillo worked as legal counsel to the Panama Maritime Authority’s Directorate General of Merchant Marine.
