Paulo Olavo Cunha joined VdA in 2005. Corporate Advisory & Tax Group Senior Partner and Head of Practice of Corporate & Governance. Paulo is specialised in Company Law and has been responsible for major projects, transactions, and group restructuring operations.
He actively advises members of the board of directors of some of the major Portuguese companies in strategic and complex corporate related aspects.
Also providing highly specialized legal assistance to (listed) Public Companies with dealing with its shareholders relations and disputes.
In his advisory role to large companies, he integrated Corporate Governance and Corporate Sustainability and Ethics Committees as an expert, and prepared several Legal Opinions for management and supervisory bodies.
A law professor, Paulo is regularly called upon to issue legal opinions for the governing and supervisory bodies of major companies.
