Kumaran Thavarajah

Kumaran Thavarajah advises primarily on financing and M&A transaction with a particular focus on Kromann Reumert's outbound services. Kumaran leads Kromann Reumert's common law team which focusses on advising Danish businesses on contracting under English law and is admitted to practice law in England and New York.

Kumaran has a particular focus on the energy and financial industries and has advised developers, sponsors, lenders and ECAs in renewable energy transactions globally.

Kumaran joined Kromann Reumert after working as a senior lawyer for a Magic Circle law firm.

• Advising Ørsted Bioenergy and Thermal Power on establishing its tender for the Danish CCS fund to capture and store 400,000 tonnes of carbon as early as 2025
• Acting for AVK Holding on its MEUR149 sustainability linked credit facility
• Acting for FLSmidth A/S on various acquisition and divestment activities including its acquisition of ThyssenKrupp’s mining division, Sandvik's project mining business and of IMP Automation Ltd
• Advising Ørsted Bioenergy and Thermal Power on various Carbon Dioxide Removal sale contracts
• Acting for Widex A/S on its post-Sivantos merger (now WS Audiology) term and revolving refinancing facilities of roughly EUR3 billion
