Funmi is a partner in the Firm’s Banking & Finance Team. She has robust experience in corporate and project/infrastructure finance, financial institution regulatory and advisory issues, structured trade finance, energy, real estate and foreign investment advisory. Funmi is a member of the council of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law.

• Advised the team that acted as local counsel to Citibank Europe Plc and a syndicate of lenders in the amendment of an existing facility agreement between the lenders and the Obligors, the entry into of a Deed of Guarantee Confirmation, and an accession to a Bridge Facility Agreement.
• Advised the team that acted as Nigerian counsel to Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore in connection with the provision of a revolving credit facility in the sum of US$50,000,000.00 to OIS Indorama Port Limited for the refinancing of its existing financial indebtedness and funding its working capital and maintenance capital expenditure.
• Lead counsel to Africa Trade Finance Limited and Mashreqbank Psc (the “Lenders”) in connection with a US$650million unsecured trade finance facility (the “Facility”) granted to Access Bank Plc (as borrower).
• Led the team that advised the lender on the provision of a US$122 million term loan facility to Amni International Petroleum Development OML 52 Company Limited for the development of the Tubu Field located in OML 52.
• Lead counsel to Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited (the “Lender”) in connection with a N4billion term loan and differentiated cash reserve requirement facilities to Starsight Power Utility Limited (the “Borrower”).
