Francisco is a partner of the firm since 2003 and a member of the Infrastructure, Energy and Project Finance practice groups, with expertise on power and natural gas transactions. Francisco advises clients in the development, structuring, financing, and operation of small, medium, and large-scale energy projects, sector M&A transactions and joint ventures, as well as energy regulation. He represents the full spectrum of participants in the industry, including sponsors, developers, lenders (including commercial banks, public banks, multinational agencies and export credit agencies), equity providers (private equity funds and other providers), insurers, contractors and investors.
Francisco is regularly listed in the Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer and in IFLR 1000 as a leading practitioner in projects, energy and project finance in Mexico and he is a frequent speaker on energy related forums and conferences.
Francisco received his law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in 1994. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate in the Mexico and New York offices of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP. from 1992 to 1994. He is fluent in Spanish and English
