David Thompson is the Deputy Practice Head and Director in our Corporate & Commercial practice. He advises on all aspects of South African corporate and commercial law particularly mergers and acquisitions.
Recent transactional highlights
- advising RDC Erf 232 throughout a process of development, financing and acquisition of a first Radisson Red hotel in Johannesburg.
- advising H1 Holdings in respect of the acquisition of a 700MW portfolio of onshore windfarms by way of a joint venture funded through Norfund and UKCI.
- disposal of 25% of major oil company (Shell) in BEE deal and related restructuring.
- advised various funds and investors on establishment, investment and buyouts, including investors in AIIF2 infrastructure fund.
