Tessa is a Director in CDH's Corporate & Commercial practice. Tessa has extensive experience in local and cross-border M&As, private equity, joint ventures, and the formation, structuring and restructuring of business entities, commercial of aspects renewable energy projects, large due diligence investigations and she advised on all aspects of South African corporate and commercial law.

• acting as lead adviser to Phakwe Witkop Investments on its ZAR 343 million acquisition from Terraform Global of 51% of the shares in Core Energy
• advising Vutomi Energy as IPP counsel on several embedded generation renewable power projects whereby Vutomi Energy will sell energy to third party offtakers
• appointed by Scatec Solar Africa to advise on all environmental law and property aspects of their bid submissions under Round 5 of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP)
• advised Broadreach on its acquisition from Enertronica, the leading Italy-based company, of an indirect 35 per cent interest in Sertum Energy, which owns the 6MW Trekkopje Solar Plant in Namibia
