Biography
With his over 17 years of experience as a practicing lawyer and previous working experience in Beijing High People’s Court, Mr. Xu specialized in advising PE funds in restructuring, insolvency, disposal of NPLs, and commercial dispute resolution. His clients include top domestic and overseas investment institutions.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised Maybank as creditor in the liquidation of Pacific Andes International Holdings Limited, a HK-listed company. The project won the ALM financial transaction of the year award.
- Advised an offshore listed company in its highly complicated compulsory liquidation; the assets involved valued over 20 billion yuan.
- Advised a subsidiary of a fortune 500 company in its compulsory liquidation, and obtained the first verdict in Beijing that approved deregistration of the company when liquidation procedures cannot proceed, which is groundbreaking.
- Advised a top PE fund as creditor in a complicated combined restructuring; the claims filed are about 2 billion yuan in total.
- Advised three creditors in several combined restructuring proceedings of a HK-listed well-known dairy company and its nearly 100 affiliates; the claims filed are about 76 billion yuan in total.
