Biography
Amy Chin’s practices include international capital markets and cross-border M&A. She received her LL.M. degree from Duke University. Between 2005 and 2006, Chin acted as one of the six commissioners of the Financial Supervisory Commission, the single financial regulator in Taiwan. She supervised the Department of Legal Affairs.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advised Kemet Corporation in its US$1.64 billion acquisition by Yageo Corporation
- Advised TPG in its acquisition of OPC Group (in CRO business);
- Advised Coadna (a Taiwan Stock Exchange listed company) in its merger with II VI (a NASDAQ listed company);
- Advised Summiview Consortium in its merger with ISSI (a NASDAQ listed company) with US$700 million.
