Established in 2006, WH Partners, is a full-service firm based in Ta’Xbiex. The firm employs 22 lawyers, including six partners.

The firm specialises in work in the gaming and fintech sectors. In the gaming the sector, the firm often advises Malta based gaming and gambling companies on large financing and M&A deals.

In the fintech sector the firm has developed a strong blockchain practice and often advises clients on the establishment of fintech structures and the launch of ICOs under Maltese law.

Highlights  

WH Partners advised GBO on its acquisition of SKS365 Malta Holding Limited, the group which operates one of the largest sports-betting retail networks in Italy. The firm’s role included due diligence on the Maltese entities part of the group as well as advising on key transaction documents, Maltese competition law, and the regulatory strategy to be adopted on pre and post completion. The deal was completed in April 2024.  
The firm also acted for Weavr (Europe) on its application to act as an electronic money institution under the Financial Institutions Act. The firm has the lead role on its application with the Malta Financial Services Authority, and the license was granted in July 2024.
