Monday 3 March 2025 - Pre-eminent African law firm, Bowmans, has made another strategic Corporate/ M&A appointment, this time at their Cape Town office. The firm today announced that renowned Corporate/ M&A lawyer Gasant Orrie has joined the firm as a partner with effect from 1 March 2025.

Monday 3 March 2025 - Pre-eminent African law firm, Bowmans, has made another strategic Corporate/ M&A appointment, this time at their Cape Town office. The firm today announced that renowned Corporate/ M&A lawyer Gasant Orrie has joined the firm as a partner with effect from 1 March 2025.

Bowmans chairman and senior partner, Ezra Davids, says ‘We are very pleased to welcome Gasant to Bowmans. The move forms part of our current drive to strategically expand and broaden our client offering across all sectors.’

Orrie has serviced clients operating in a range of sectors from financial services to hospitality and leisure, transport, mining, and energy, and advised on complex transactions and corporate governance matters.

He also has in-house experience, having served as chief legal adviser at South African Airways (SAA) for two years before entering private practice.

Orrie has BA and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town and is ranked by Chambers Global, IFLR1000 and the Legal 500.
