Cederquist has advised Kinnevik AB in connection with the sale of its entire shareholding in Tele2 to Freya Investissement, an investment vehicle controlled by the European telecommunications group iliad and its chairman and founder Xavier Niel through NJJ Holding. The purchase price amounts to a total of SEK 13bn and the transaction will be completed in three steps, the two latter two of which are conditional upon necessary regulatory clearances and, in relation to the third step, also to iliad and NJJ reclassifying Tele2 Class A shares to the effect that they will hold less than 30 percent of the voting interest in Tele2 following the transaction.

Cederquist’s team consisted of Henrik Wållgren, Matilda Larsson, Theodor Mendel and Wilhelm Lüning (Public M&A), Viktor Eriksson (Private M&A) as well as Fredrik Lindblom and Sanna Frånlund (FDI and Competition).
