Through its Tax & Law business line, EY advised the Central American company, AR RETAIL, S.A., a company operating fashion stores and franchises, in the successful acquisition of the fast-fashion chain FOREVER 21 in nine countries, including Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.
EY’s advisory included tax and corporate matters, focused on M&A matters, such as due diligence, anti-trust, licensing, and corporate reorganization.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the transaction continues consolidating AR RETAIL’s operations and ensures employment continuity in each country, thereby having a positive impact in its economies.
