TGS Baltic successfully represented the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

TGS Baltic Partner Agnese Hartpenga represented the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia in the Court of Arbitration for Sport with respect to case CAS 2019/A/6328.

In 2018, a Latvian powerlifting athlete was disqualified by the decision of the Latvian Powerlifting Federation’s Disciplinary Commission for a period of four years. The athlete was admitted guilty of infringement of the provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code.

On 17 June 2020, having heard also the arguments posed by TGS Baltic attorney, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that it lacks jurisdiction to hear the appeal filed by the athlete.

The Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia is a national anti-doping organization, internationally known as LAT-NADO, which in accordance with the Sports Law, inter alia performs also doping control, conducts examination and investigation of infringements of the anti-doping regulations, ensures control of execution of the decisions taken by the competent anti-doping bodies, as well as implements educational and research measures in the field of anti-doping.
