King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has expanded its Singapore offering with the hire of an M&A partner.

Jake Robson joins the firm from Morrison & Foerster, where he was a partner in the firm's corporate practice.

Robson specialises in international acquisitions, disposals and investments, joint ventures and other commercial arrangements, and he is an advisor to several fintech, financial institutions, technology and telecommunications, and natural resources clients in South East Asia.

KWM says that Robson will play a key role in developing the firm’s M&A practice in the region in addition to its overall growth strategy for the Singapore office.

This development marks the second lateral hire to KWM’s Singapore office, following the appointment of banking and finance partner John Shum from White & Case in September 2019.
