Two Nordic firms are set to merge and create a prominent Norwegian-Swedish firm.
Swedish firm Hamilton and Norwegian firm Schjødt have agreed to combine under the Schjødt brand.
Hamilton has 65 lawyers in Stockholm. The firm expanded significantly in 2016 following its merger with the Swedish office of international firm Ashurst.
Schjødt currently has 180 lawyers across its offices in Oslo, Stavanger, Ålesund, Bergen and London. In early 2019, it underwent a domestic expansion by merging with oil and gas boutique Michelet & Co.
The merger will take effect from January 1, 2020.
