Global firm Dentons has announced plans to combine with Honduran firm Gustavo Zacapa & Asociados. The new office will give Dentons a physical presence in Honduras.
The firm also has Central American offices in Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Over the past few years, Dentons has been aggressively expanding into Latin America. Dentons initially gained a presence in Central America through a combination with Costa Rica-based Dentons Muñoz.
Recent years have seen the firm combine with Larraín Rencoret Urzúa in Chile, combine with local firms in Peru, Mexico and Colombia, and form a strategic alliance with Brazilian firm Vella Pugliese Buosi & Guidoni Advogados.
The firm plans to launch its combination with Gustavo Zacapa & Asociados in September.
