Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow—the Singapore member firm of Baker McKenzie International—has appointed a new local principal to its capital markets practice in Singapore.
Xavier Amadei joins the firm from Linklaters where he worked as counsel acting on cross-border equity and debt offerings.
Amadei is experienced in representing clients on capital markets transactions in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the PRC, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines. He often advises investment banks, issuers (including sovereigns), and shareholders in the Asia-Pacific region and is well-versed in SEC-registered offerings and offerings pursuant to Regulation S, Rule 144A as well as other private placements.
The firm has recently been increasing its regional and international capital markets capabilities, and this latest hire comes only a few months after the appointment of Drew & Napier's former capital markets head, Kenny Kwan.
