US firm Greenberg Traurig has launched in Itally following a merger with a local firm.
The international firm will merge with its long time Italian ally Santa Maria Studio Legale to open Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria. The merger will combine Santa Maria's corporate offering with Greenberg's real estate expertise.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lawyers Marzio Longo and Corrado Angelelli have agreed to join the newly formed office's real estate and finance practices respectively.
The Milan office is Greenberg's fortieth in total and fifth in Europe.
