Dechert has enhanced its London investment fund team with a new hire from Akin Gump.
Thiha Tun, an IFLR1000 Leading Lawyer, joins the US firm's financial services practice. He focuses on fund formation and capital raisings, fund investments, secondary transactions, establishment of managed accounts, carried interest schemes and co-investment arrangements for clients including alternative asset fund sponsors, institutional investors and financial advisers.
Tun had been part of the team that joined Akin Gump from legacy Bingham McCutchen in 2014.
The move follows other recent hires by the firm in fund centres, with Carol Widger joining the firm in Dublin in January 2019 and in the same month Marianna Tothova, a Luxembourg specialist, joining the London team.
