Morgan Lewis Stamford has moved to enhance its corporate offering in Singapore with the hire of a new corporate director.
Vanessa Ng joins the firm from Fortis Law Corporation where she headed the corporate finance and corporate commercial practice group as a director.
Ng focuses on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions for listed and unlisted companies, takeovers, general offers, and other corporate transactions. She also has capital markets experience and has advised on matters such as IPOs, listing obligations, placements, rights issues, and share buy-backs.
Prior to joining Fortis law, Ng served as a partner at Shook Lin & Bok and as a senior associate at Stamford Law Corporation.
Since the 2015 merger of Morgan Lewis with Stamford Law Corporation, Morgan Lewis has steadily been increasing its presence in Singapore. Ng’s appointment adds to the firm’s growing corporate practice, which was strengthened last year by the hire of Karun Cariappa as a corporate partner from Simmons & Simmons.
