Malaysian firms Adnan Sundra & Low (ASL) and Putri Norlisa Chair (PNC) have agreed to merge with effect from 1 October 2018.

The newly integrated firm will be known as Adnan Sundra & Low and will combine PNC’s corporate and commercial, M&A, projects and infrastructure and banking and finance practices with ASL’s existing banking and finance, capital markets, civil aviation, M&A, dispute resolution, Islamic finance and real estate practices.

The addition of PNC’s three partners will take ASL’s partner count to 22 in total, with an incoming partner becoming part of management in the combined entity and another partner heading to the new firm’s corporate banking department.

ASL has a 43-year history in Malaysia, while PNC was established as a boutique in October 2015 after partners Adrian Chair and Putri Norlisa Najib departed from Kadir Andri & Partners.
