Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has hired a new project finance partner in its London office.
Julian Nichol, 'Highly regarded' by the IFLR1000, joins from Bracewell where he had led the EMEA power group. He focuses on financing of energy and oil and gas projects across EMEA.
Deal highlights include work on the Shams Ma’an 52.5MW Solar Project in Jordan and the Corbetti 500MW geothermal power plant in Ethiopia.
Akin Gump's team in London already includes respected energy lawyers like John McMaster and the firm has acted on matters including an oil and gas exploration project in Somalia.
