Two partners have left Jones Day to join two different US rivals.

Dan Coppel has joined Morrison & Foerster, he focuses on M&A and private equity matters and has acted on matters including advising Rockwell Collins on the acquisition of a UK avionics company and advising Mittal Investments on the £336 million sale of Hope Construction to Breedon.

John Ahern has joined Katten Muchin Rosenman, he focuses on financial services regulatory matters. He is recognised by the IFLR1000 as a 'Highly regarded' lawyer.

These departures follow close on the heels of the departure of banking partner Paul Simcock who joined Vinson & Elkins in January.
