Greenberg Traurig has taken on a six strong team from the troubled King & Wood Mallesons (KWM).
Funds partners Steven Cowins, an IFLR1000 Rising Star, and Marc Snell and M&A partners Michael Goldberg and David Fitzgerald join the US firm along with real estate partner Matthew Priday and tax partner Clive Jones.
The whole team focuses on the real estate sector.
KWM’s European arm has run into financial difficulties and has looked at various restructuring plans over the last few months including a cash call from partners.
