Mayora & Mayora, a Guatemala-based firm has integrated with El Salvador-based Telles & Asociados.

Telles & Asociados was launched in December 2015 by banking and M&A partner Manuel Telles Suvillaga who was a former partner of Romero Pineda & Asociados.

This move gives the firm offices in three Central American countries. The firm started in Guatemala, but opened an office in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 2016. As a result of the firm's integration with Telles & Asociados, the firm has 35 lawyers.

Regional firms have become increasingly common in Central America, particuarly in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Costa Rica. Due to the size of the countries, investors often want to do business in more than one, and they sometimes appreciate having one firm that can work in multiple countries.
