McDermott Will & Emery has hired a team of lawyers in Milan from King & Wood Mallesons (KWM)
Giancarlo Castorino, Ettore Scandale and Emidio Cacciapuoti join the firm along with four counsel and 10 other fee earners.
Castorino acts on banking and finance matters including structured, real estate and acquisition finance matters and restructuring work.
Scandale is a private equity lawyer focused on portfolio management, financing and exits. He has a focus on the financial services, healthcare and life sciences sectors. He has acted for the likes of JZ International, Palamon Capital Partners, Educas Investments, Grafton Capital and Montana Capital Partners
Cacciapuoti is a regulatory lawyer focused on investment fund structures and tax.
The move comes a few months after KWM's European arm entered administration in January 2017, prompting a number of departures from the firm particularly in London. The firm has since relaunched an offering in London.
