Araoz & Rueda has hired new banking and finance partner in Madrid.
Rafael Bazán, an IFLR1000 Leading Lawyer, joins the firm from from Baker McKenzie.
He works mainly on corporate, acquisition and asset finance with a particular focus on real estate, financial and industrial sectors.
Bazán's work highlights include advising Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar on the €1.14 billion sale of property portfolios to Bain Capital (Deal Data record); and advising CatalunyaCaixa on both the sale of the Hercules mortgage portfolio to Blackstone (Deal Data record) and the sale of the bank itself to BBVA (Deal Data record)
