Shearman & Sterling has hired counsel Kimberly Heimert in Washington DC.
A member of the firm's project development and finance group, Heimert comes to Shearman after serving as general counsel at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
Heimert was appointed to her position at OPIC by former president Barack Obama.
She specialises in representing export credit agencies and development finance institutions specifically in regards to African markets.
