McDermott Will & Emery has hired a new restructuring partner in London from Simmons & Simmons.
Alan Gar advises banks, funds, insolvency practitioners and corporates on restructuring and insolvency matters.
He is dual-qualified in England & Wales and South Africa.
Recent work includes advising the purchaser of assets in the restructuring of Mouchel Group; advising a leading commercial bank on the Cortefiel scheme of arrangement; and acting for the banking syndicate on the restructuring of SAS Airlines.
The firm also announced thd hire of M&A senior counsel Elisabeth Moseley from Clyde & Co.
