Cuatrecasas has hired a new energy focused partner in its Mexico City office.
Marco de la Peña focuses on corporate compliance, energy, infrastructure and PPP work.
Prior to joining the firm, De la Peña worked at the National Hydrocarbons Commission where he headed the Legal Affairs unit. He has also worked at Pemex (Mexico's state-owned oil company), Banobras, and the Bank of Mexico.
His hire brings the number of partners in the Mexico City office to five. Alongside De la Peña's hire, the Iberian firm promoted nine other lawyers to partners.
