Norton Rose Fulbright merges with Chadbourne & Parke

Global and US firms combine forces in blockbuster

Law firms Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) and Chadbourne & Parke have announced a merger.

Itself the product of a 2012 merger between British firm Norton Rose and US firm Fulbright & Jaworski, with this move NRF will employ 1,000 lawyers in the US.

The two firms will share offices in New York, Washington, DC and Los Angeles, as well as international offices in London, Moscow, Dubai and Johannesburg.

The deal also gives NRF new offices in Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Istanbul. However, the merger is primarily US-focused.

The combination is expected to become official in the second quarter.
