Simmons & Simmons has enhanced its capital markets team with a hire from Cleary Gottlieb.
Simon Ovenden (an IFLR1000 Leading Lawyer) joins the firm in London. He focuses on both debt and equity capital markets work and is dual qualified in England and Wales and Hong Kong.
Recent work highlights include work for the underwriters on a sovereign bond issue by the Government of Nigeria and work for Promsvyazbank on a bond exchange offer.
The deal follows the recent hire by Simmons of fellow capital markets partner Jonathan Mellor from Allen & Overy.
