Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw & Pittman has hired a new real estate partner in its New York office.
Paul Shapses arrives at Pillsbury from a partnership at Herrick Feinstein, and will co-lead his new firm's hotels and hospitality group.
Shapses' real estate expertise includes financings, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, and development deals.
In the hospitality sector, Shapses has led over $12 billion of financing and acquisitions of hotel and resort properties in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Shapses' addition comes less than month after Pillsbury added a new derivatives partner, also in its New York office.
