London based international firm Pinsent Masons has continued its expansion into South Africa with the addition of several new lawyers to its new Johannesburg premises.

The firm has appointed a team from Bowman Gilfillan, including partners Daniella Zussa and Junaid Banoobhai, both adept in the construction sector, senior associate Bavesh Pillay, and five additional associates.

In addition to this the firm will welcome George Sibanda from BlaqInc Attorneys, formerly of Webber Wentzel, Deidré Simaan, head of infrastructure at Webber Wentzel, and Claire Barclay, former projects and infrastructure director at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.

The firm's new office will open officially in January and will be focussed primarily on work in the infrastructure sector, with fourteen construction and project specialists already on the books. The move is further evidence of the firm's growth plans, following new offices in Australia and Germany, and expansion in its Paris office.

This recent flurry of activity follows the appointment of former head of construction Rob Morson and dispute resolution specialist Shane Voigt, also from Bowman Gilfillan, earlier this year.
