Kirkland & Ellis has hired a new partner at its office in Houston.
Partner Doug Bacon comes to Kirkland's corporate practice from the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer's office in New York. Bacon specialises in representing private equity firms and companies on M&A deals, including cross border transactions.
Before becoming a partner at Freshfields, Bacon had been an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
