CMS has hired a banking and finance senior associate from Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner in Dubai.
Islamic finance specialist Shakeel Adli has been hired to help to develop CMS’ practice focussed on this area, the firm said in statement. He will focus on shariah-compliant real estate finance transactions in the UK and Islamic finance in the Middle East.
CMS has three offices in the Middle East. The firm opened its first - the Dubai office - in 2012. Subsequently it launched an office in Muscat in 2014 and, earlier this year it became the first large international firm to open in Iran when it entered Tehran.
