Willkie Farr & Gallagher has announced the appointment of IFLR1000 Leading lawyer Lionel Spizzichino to its restructuring department in Paris.
Arriving from the French office of US firm Paul Hastings, where he headed up the restructuring team, Spizzichino has extensive experience with cross-border restructuring, insolvency and pre-insolvency matters.
The partner cited Willkie's knowledge of the London and New York restructuring markets as a motive for joining the firm, as well as the prospect of working with partner Alexandra Bigot. His addition will complement the seven strong team at Willkie, and allow the firm to offer its clients a more extensive service in France, and further afield.
Spizzichino has been involved in several high profile cases in the French restructuring market in recent years, with clients including Petroplus, Coeur Défence and General Motors.
