Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has expanded its London corporate practice with the addition of a new M&A partner from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Andy Savage acts on M&A, joint ventures and private equity matters in the energy, infrastructure and telecoms sectors.

His recent work includes advising Orange on BT’s proposed £12.5 billion acquisition of EE; acting for Helios Investment Partners on the acquisition of a stake in in Eland Oil & Gas; and acting for RWE NPower Renewables in relation to the disposal of a portfolio of wind projects to  Renerco.

Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright he had worked at Vinson & Elkins.

WFW has made a number of hires in the past 12 months, though most have been in the finance area in an attempt to strengthen the firms capital markets offering. These include the additions of equity capital markets specialists Dearbhla Quigley and Martin Thomas from Chadbourne & Parke, debt capital markets focused Rob McBride from Fried Frank, and structured finance and securitisation partner Siân Withey, also from Fried Frank.
