Morgan Lewis & Bockius has added an investment management partner to its team in London.

Simon Currie joins the team from Covington & Burling and advises on investment funds and financial regulatory matters. Specifically his focus is on segregated accounts and investment vehicles.

He is also chair of the Financial Services Sub-Committee of the Law Society Company Law Committee.

Currie had been with Covington for a substantial period of time (13 years) having previously worked at Theodore Goddard.

The move is the latest in a series of hires made by the firm in London. The team added another funds partner, Gawain Hughes from DLA Piper in July. In the same month it hired three partner from K&L Gates: Matthew Duncan who acts primarily on structured finance transactions, RMBS and covered bond matters, Julian Goodman who focuses on real estate finance including CMBS and RMBS matters in addition to sector specific M&A and Paul Matthews a derivatives lawyer advising on transactions and general regulatory advice.

In August the firm raided K&L Gates again hiring structured finance partner Theresa Kradjian.
