Mid-market law firm Quarles & Brady has added a partner with commercial finance expertise to its business law practice group in Milwaukee.
Kim Wynn (pictured), who previously practiced law at the Milwaukee firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, specializes in asset-based loans, commercial loans, real estate loans, and restructuring. Her clients include lenders, agents, and obligors, and she has negotiated intercreditor agreements.
Wynn’s hiring comes less than a year after top-level personnel changes in Quarles’s Milwaukee office. In December 2014, as banks everywhere contended with new regulatory schemes, the firm appointed a new office managing partner in Milwaukee, Katherine Perhach, who advises financial institutions on a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters, particularly with regard to loan enforcement and real estate disputes.
Perhach succeeded Kathryn Buono as the managing partner in Milwaukee. At the time of her appointment, Perhach granted an interview to IFLR1000 in which she discussed her view of the firm’s role within a radically transformed banking sector in Milwaukee and beyond. Perhach alluded to Quarles & Brady’s extensive transactional work for banking clients. Quarles has legacy clients not just in Milwaukee, but in Chicago, Phoenix, Tucscon, Tampa, Madison, Naples, Scottsdale, Indianapolis, and Washington, she noted. These clients include small banks as well as global ones.
Wynn holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelors degree from Carroll University.
