White & Case has hired a new M&A partner in Singapore to expand its M&A and private equity practice.

Jonathan Bowden joins the firm from Linklaters where he was previously managing associate.

Eric Berg, White & Case’s head in Asia, said of the hire: "In addition to our existing team, Jonathan’s arrival will support our strategic ambition of building a leading pan-Asian private equity practice and he will play a key role in fostering long term relationships with local and international clients across the region."

Bowden will be acting for private equity firms and other financial sponsors, together with corporates and banks on a variety of cross-border private and public M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate finance transactions.

Of late, White & Case has been strengthening its global M&A and private equity practices in the region with recent hires in Hong Kong, including partners Kyungseok Kim, Pradyumna Mysoor and Peggy Wang who joined earlier this year as its private equity head in Asia.
